My work lives at the intersection of creativity, research, and experimentation, where curiosity leads and concept drives everything that follows.

I Want To Fly In June
Imagine you are jumping on a trampoline, at the highest point you feel completely freed from any expectations and you experience a moment of delight. Everything around you seems to fade away and the time stopped ticking. Before you know it gravity is taking you down and the clock starts ticking again. In my project I try to beat gravity and be able to stretch that moment of being weightless a little longer. I want to experience the air and its freedom and use this as my benefit as a graphic designer. I want to fly in June is a documentation of my attempts to fly and my flight itself. This is shown by graphical outcomes from my experiments. Can I beat gravity as a graphic designer? Photography: Laura de Rijk
Conspiracy Theories
An editorial deep-dive into the linguistic subcultures of the internet. This publication catalogs and arranges the specific jargon and visual cues used by online communities to "prove" conspiracy theories. It’s an investigation into how language is weaponized to build alternative realities.

My expertise
I’m Jamie de Rooij, a Dutch graphic designer with a love for bold ideas and thoughtful design. My work lives at the intersection of creativity, research, and experimentation, where curiosity leads and concept drives everything that follows.
After graduating from the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, I worked for clients across commercial and editorial fields. Each project is a new exploration: a chance to question, experiment, and build something that not only looks strong but feels right.

Typography often forms the backbone of my process, a tool to balance precision with play. From the first spark of an idea to the finished piece, I believe in crafting design solutions that are clear in purpose, striking in form, and bold enough to stand apart.
From concept to final delivery, I aim to create work that communicates with precision, resonates with people, and dares to be bold.
